STAR SCHOOL Open Days
STAR SCHOOLS will be running a number of free Open Days prior to launch to give potential STAR SCHOOL students the chance to see what enrolling with the workshops will involve.
These intensive Open Days introduce participants to the various skills and screen techniques that actors must master if they are to make effective screen-acting performances.
In the Open Day workshops we cover the following components:
- Letting yourself go
- Conflict: the basis of drama
- How audiences read the screen
- Screen reactions
- Screen distances
- Screen physicality
- Behaviourism
Participants work with a number of TV drama scripts on camera to see for themselves how powerful they are as a screen actor and where they need to develop their technique. All scripts are sent to participants in advance.
